Lambeth council Labour Group elected a new leader last night from four candidates. The winner was Cllr. Jack Hopkins from neighbouring Oval Ward. He knows Princes ward very well, once lived on Vauxhall Gardens, and Joanne, David and I look forward to working with him.
More locally three bits of good news to report.
Firstly following our report on the Foodbank last week I was pleased to see that quite a few people had chosen items the Foodbank requested.
Secondly after damage caused by one of their Lorries a local developer has repaired the gate to Old Paradise Gardens, Lambeth High Street. Thanks to Kelly Tait at Taylor Wimpey who pushed this through in the face of some very frustrating red tape.
And finally a picture of the new and rather elegant bins on Knight’s Walk Estate.
