I was really pleased to visit the Knight’s Walk building site. Phase one is replacing the old garages with new homes and despite the pandemic is picking up speed again. Cllr. Matthew Bennett, the Cabinet member for Planning, Investment and New Homes, came to see how an idea a few years ago had become reality. 84 new homes will be built with 17 of these at council-level rent and 39 ‘affordable’ .
It is worth saying that this is a building site and there will be noise but the site manager is doing all he can to keep any disturbance locally to a minimum. If you are affected go and speak to John the site manager.
